Bike Safety

EIS Parents,

We are extremely excited for the opportunity to teach our students at EIS a Bike Safety Unit March 31st-April 11th.!  This curriculum is part of our NC Healthful Living Teaching Standards.  This is a special opportunity for your child to learn and practice lifelong skills that will increase their physical activity.  If your student would like to bring their own bike/helmet, bikes can be dropped off in the teacher parking lot by the black top on March 27th-28th between 7:15-8:00 a.m. Please make sure to put your child’s names on these items.  Bikes must be picked up by April 11th from 2:45-3:15 or from 7:15-8:00 a.m.

  • If you DO NOT want your child to participate in our bike unit, complete this google

form before Monday, March 31st.  BIKE SAFETY FORM FOR STUDENTS NOT

PARTICIPATING Your child will be assigned an alternative task consisting of bike

safety worksheets, which will count towards their participation grade.

Your child must wear athletic shoes in order to participate in our bike unit.

Please email one of the PE teachers with any questions.  As always, thank you for your support of our PE program here at EIS!

Sincerely,

Ms. Ramsey and Coach Suarez
