Purpose of Flocabulary

*Build Content Knowledge
*reinforce academic vocabulary
Students will work in four Language Arts Categories.
How Flocabulary works. Students will complete five sections. The expectation is that students need to receive 80% in each of the five categories in order to get a 100% for their grade. Each category is worth 20 points. All five categories must be completed in order to receive a 100 for a grade.
1. Video
Engage all learners with a hip-hop video covering the lesson. Visual learning
2. Vocab Cards
Build word knowledge by writing and drawing key words from the lesson
3. Vocab Game
Test word knowledge through a variety of interactive exposures
4. Read & Respond
Practice reading with passages and text-dependent questions
5. Quiz
Assess lesson comprehension through a 10-question auto-graded quiz
Students usually have one to three days to complete Flocabulary assignments. Please ask your child to show you their Flocabulary assignments that have been completed.
