Mrs. Jenay Wilson

8th Grade School Counselor

Dear Erwin Students and Families,

My experience working with students began in 1995 with the Upward Bound Program at Mars Hill College while getting my bachelor's degree. In my many jobs with this program, I was able to help high school students prepare for college as a first generation college student. During this time, my desire to help students increased and led me to Western Carolina University where I earned a master's degree in school counseling.

I am licensed as a school counselor in North Carolina, have certification from the National Board for Certified Counselors and am a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I have been a school counselor at Erwin Middle School since 2000. I enjoy working here because the students and community are very diverse and the teachers are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals every day. As a school counselor, I enjoy helping adolescents with their academic, emotional, and social development by providing them with skills and knowledge to empower them to meet the challenges of school and life.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you. I can be reached via email at
[email protected] and via google voice: (828) 552-5452
